Taco Salad



2 ripe tomatoes, diced
1/2 pound sharp Cheddar, diced
½ of an onion, diced
1 bag of pre-washed lettuce
2 avocados, diced
1 cup salad dressing (recommended: Catalina)
1 (7-ounce) bag taco flavored chips, crushed
1 cup salsa


Combine the tomatoes, cheese, onion, lettuce, and avocados in a large bowl. Add the salad dressing and mix well. Just before serving, add the taco chips, tossing to combine with other ingredients. Top each serving with salsa.

Haystacks



Ingredients
General mills Fiber One cereal (one sleeve)
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 teaspoons peanut butter (optional)
Directions
1. Melt 1 bag of good semi-sweet chocolate chips in microwave in a large bowl on high for about 2 minutes or until melted (stirring occasionally).
2. Once melted, mix in 1 sleeve of Fiber One cereal (8.1 oz).
3. Once well blended, use a tablespoon to scoop out rounded cookies onto a cookie sheet.
4. Refrigerate until set (about 1/2 hour). Can freeze portions until ready to eat.

Mini-cheesecake

Ingredients:
- 1 Jell-o No bake Real Cheesecake dessert box
- 1 ½ cups of milk
- 5 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- muffin cups
- spoon
- bowl
- pecans
- blueberries
Steps:
1. melt butter in microwave
2. in bowl mix crust mix, butter, and sugar
3. get a spoonful of crust and smush it down at the bottom of the muffin cup with a spoon
4. pour cheesecake mix with milk, make sure it is a Jell-o consistency
5. spoon batter on top crust
6. put blueberries and pecans, as much as you would like
History:
Modern cheesecakes resemble cakes previously used as offerings to gods in Greek culture.

Trifle!!!!!!


Individual Strawberry Trifle Delight


Ingredients:
10 oz. pound cake
Vanilla Chocolate Chip cookies individual cups
1 pound of Strawberries or any available fruit (frozen or fresh)
container of whip cream
Hazelnut syrup

Difficulty: Easy
Prep time: 20 minutes
Serving: 6

Steps:

1. Cut pound cake into ½ inch slices
2. Put one slice of pound cake into the clear cup and press it down
3. Put one tablespoon of hazelnut syrup on top of pound cake
4. Put two tablespoons of strawberries on pound cake
5. Put a dollop (spoonful) of whip cream on strawberries
6. Repeat steps 3-5
7. Remember whip cream is on top
8. Crumble two cookies on the whip cream
9. Eat! Enjoy!

History of Pound cake: It was originally made of a pound of flour, eggs, butter, and sugar.
History of the Trifle: The name originated from the French word "Truffle" which means whimsical. A long time ago the British used old or stale cake to make the trifle, because the syrup and fruit would make the cake moist and edible.
